Well hey there,
You can call me Riah Jane.I’m a Midwest mama of three, a multi-passionate entrepreneur, and the heart behind Inspired by Riah Jane. After years of running my own boutique and pouring into women through fashion and business, I felt a quiet nudge to pivot — toward deeper purpose, more margin, and a life that feels like mine.
This blog is my corner of the internet to share it all — the real, the beautiful, and the in-between. You’ll find recipes from our family kitchen, glimpses of our travels (even the messy, kid-filled kind), lifestyle favorites, business wisdom for fellow entrepreneurs, and timeless fashion that feels as good as it looks.
Inspired by Riah Jane is a space for women like you and me — the ones juggling family and big dreams, craving both simplicity and impact. I believe in starting before you're ready, building what matters, and living life with intention.
So whether you’re here for a cozy dinner idea, branding tips for your small business, a weekend getaway, or just a breath of fresh perspective — welcome. You belong here.
“Endings aren’t failures-they are invitations to grow into something new.”
Here you’ll see my heart in one photo: my husband, our three amazing kids, and the reason behind everything I do.We're learning as we go, living with intention, and always rooting for more joy.

It started with a question: What truly matters to me?
"Riah Jane" is a mix of the personal and the timeless — Riah, short for Mariah (what my people call me).
Inspired by Riah Jane is more than a blog name — it’s a reflection of how I want to live: with heart, with intention, and with the hope that the everyday moments we share can inspire something meaningful in someone else. It's the blend of motherhood, creativity, business, and a whole lot of real life — just the way I live it. -
I grew up in a small town in Indiana — the kind where everyone knows your name and summer nights are spent on front porches. These days, we’ve replanted our roots in Jasper, Indiana, where we’re raising our family and building a life we love.

Coffee. Always. With cream. Preferably in a quiet morning moment before the house wakes up.

After three years of owning a women’s boutique, I knew I wanted more freedom and family time — without letting go of creativity or community. Inspired by real life and built with purpose, this brand is a reflection of all the things I love.
-
Helping other women believe in themselves — whether it’s through storytelling, strategy, or just a little nudge to chase what matters.
-
Kid drop-offs, content planning, garden breaks, a few meetings, and probably a load of laundry (or three). Life is full.

Martha Stewart. I’d pick her brain on business, homemaking, and how she makes everything look so effortless.
I’d be slightly terrified but mostly thrilled. She’d somehow make my store-bought candles feel ashamed. But honestly? I’d be pretending I didn’t Google “how to fold napkins” 10 minutes before. -
Typically a comfy lounge set, basic sneakers, hoop earrings and my hair in a pony.

A late-night scroll through Zillow dreaming up my next home project…or Pinterest.

I’m actually an ambivert — equal parts people-person and homebody. I love connecting, leading, and being in the room... but I also deeply value my quiet time. After a full day, give me comfy clothes, a cozy blanket, and a little peace and quiet to reset. I thrive in both spaces.

There are so many! Someone once told me, “In life, you’re juggling balls — some are plastic, and some are glass. The glass ones are your family. Don’t drop those.”
It stuck with me. I’ve built my business, my boundaries, and my schedule around protecting those glass balls. Everything else? It can bounce back.
